Helping Hands

About the Program

The Helping Hands program is designed to assist seniors in the community, age 50 and older. We can refer you to programs that can assist you with:

  • grass cutting
  • leaf pick up
  • snow removal
  • chores and much more.

Housing

Helping Hands has information on available senior housing. If you, or anyone you know, is in need of assistance for housing in St. Clair Shores and surrounding areas, please call Tekla at 586-498-2339 for more information.

Loan Closets

Helping Hands at the Saint Clair Shores Senior Center can refer you to community loan closets. Macomb County accepts and loans wheelchairs, canes, and walkers. Donated equipment must be clean and in good working condition. The Walter F Bruce VFW Post #1146 also has a closet available for loans and donations.
