The Domestic Violence Prevention Program was established in 1995. The program consists of five 1.5-hour sessions taught by a counselor. Its purpose is to teach offenders alternative methods of dealing with disputes rather that resorting to violence. The class also provides education on the effects and impact of assaultive behavior.
The Domestic Violence Prevention Program is held at 27701 Jefferson Avenue. The program takes place on Wednesday nights, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The fee for the program is $150 and you must register / enroll at the 40th District Court.
