Cultural Committee

Responsibilities

The mission of the Saint Clair Shores Cultural Committee is to facilitate access to and foster awareness of cultural events and activities for all the residents of our community.

The St Clair Shores Cultural Committee is a city-sanctioned group of citizen volunteers dedicated to providing access to cultural events in and around the City of St Clair Shores.

We currently sponsor a free bi-monthly speaker program at the Library which takes place the last Monday of the month at 6:30PM. Check this site, our Facebook page or the Library for topics.

In addition we schedule tours of interesting sites or events. Many are to the Detroit Institute of Arts as we work closely with them on the speaker program, but we have also toured the Masonic Temple, including the Roller Derby held there, Pewabic Pottery, The Wayne State School of Mortuary Science, and Belle Isle just to name a few.
