WHAT TO DO WITH FALLEN BRANCHES

FROM THE DPW: The City has had a lot of branches that had fallen during the recent ice storm from both City road right-of-way trees as well as private trees throughout the City.

If you have smaller or manageable size branches that have fallen we ask that you either bundle them and place them at the curb or break them up and place them in your garbage can. Starting on Monday GFL will be picking up these bundles or branches in the cans with their normal garbage collection schedule.

If you have a large or unmanageable size branch that has fallen from a City road right-of-way tree please call the DPW at 586-445-5363 and we will have it removed by our Forestry Department.

If you have a large or unmanageable size branch that has fallen from a private tree then you will need to hire a tree company to remove it or hold on to it until large brush/chipper collection resumes on April 1st.
