The 40th District Court is now using text messages to remind court users of upcoming court hearing dates.  Upon being signed up for the text messaging option, an individual will receive a text message 2-3 days prior to the scheduled court hearing, reminding the person of his/her upcoming court date.  Additionally, the 40th District Probation Department is using text message reminders to remind probationers of upcoming probation appointments.

“Our goal at the 40th District Court is to use technology for improving customer service,” said Court Administrator, Andrea Strassburg.  “The text messaging option is user friendly and will serve as an additional reminder for court users.  We are hopeful this option will assist with attendance rates and add to the overall court experience for our customers at the 40th District Court.”

Anyone with an upcoming court date who is interested in receiving the text messaging reminder option is encouraged to contact the 40th District Court at # (586) 445-5280.

The 40th District Court also has the availability to review court cases online.  Please visit the 40th District Court website at and click “View Case Records” on the main page.
