New Play equipment appears at St. Clair Shores parks

New play equipment appears at St. Clair Shores parks, and more is still coming.

Residents who frequent the city’s parks may have noticed new play structures built in 2022. Blossom Heath, Kaufman, and Welsh Family parks received new equipment this fall thanks to the St. Clair Shores Parks and Recreation Department. Soon, Brys and Kyte Monroe parks will be able to say the same. Both parks will receive updates within the new year.

The new play equipment at Blossom Heath Park, located at 24800 Jefferson Ave., is prehistoric-themed and features fun dinosaur pictures and facts for kids to find.

The primary-colored playscape at Kaufman park, located at 23499 Elaine Street, features a new merry-go-round, tetter-totter, and seated zipline.

Welsh Family Park’s nature-themed play equipment is perfect for older and younger kids featuring slides, new swings, and a climbing wall. You can find Welsh Family Park at 22603 Carolina Street.

The new additions are just the latest in park renovations around the city. In March, Veterans Park received new fitness equipment located on the walking path circling the park. The simple hardware offers residents a free way to stretch and work out.
