Overview
The Blossom Heath Beach House finished a $1.3 million restoration in 2021 thanks to the Tax Increment and Finance Authority (TIFA) and Brownfield Development Authority.
The building is 5,000 square feet with a 2,600-square-foot Rubino Terrace that overlooks the park and Lake St. Clair. The terrace is named after the late council member Peter Rubino.
The building houses three bathrooms, an enclosed gathering space with chairs, gas fireplace, and food serving space. The patio houses three wood-burning firepits and exterior-covered seating. The parking area and patio are often the locations for food trucks during city events.
Events held at the Beach House:
- Tunnel of Lights
- Aqua Freeze Festival
- St. Patty's in the Park
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Summer Farmers Market
- Bourbon Brews & BBQ
- AquaFest & Luau
